Let’s be honest: road surfaces, pathways and urban infrastructure are usually not exactly the kind of topics that make people lean forward and say: “Tell me more!”
Most of the time, we simply walk, drive or cycle over them without giving them a second thought. But what if a surface could carry heavy loads, let water pass through, improve the urban climate and still be made entirely from natural materials?
That is where BALASTAN® comes in.

While the other people involved in the project took care of the print and website side of things, my part was everything three-dimensional — from the complete visual design to the 3D creation... and, naturally, the animation as well. I am a motion designer, after all.
